Dispasa Begins Distributing Our Wines in Castellón

July 6, 2023.—The Burriana-based distributor is thus expanding its wine selection, while the Viver Cooperative is gaining visibility at the provincial level within the restaurant industry.

The Viver Cooperative has entrusted the distributor Dispasa Alimentaria with the marketing of its wines in the province of Castellón following a partnership agreement recently signed between the two entities. This strategic partnership, rooted in a shared vision of offering excellent wine experiences, aims to maximize the reach of the cooperative’s wines among restaurants in Castellón. The Cooperativa de Viver launched its winemaking project seven years ago with the goal of creating wines that reflect the richness of the Alto Palancia region and revive the municipality’s long-standing tradition as wine growers and producers dating back to ancient times. Thanks to the guidance of Pepe Mendoza and Maloles Blázquez through their winemaking consultancy, Uva Destino, the Cooperativa de Viver’s wines have reached a new level of maturity and refinement and are beginning to gain recognition at national and international competitions. Currently, the cooperative offers four red wines—three of which are crianza—two single-varietal white wines, and one rosé, all included under the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) “Vins de Castelló.” For its part, Dispasa Alimentaria is a distribution company serving Castellón and the surrounding province that specializes in high-quality wines, cavas, coffee, and food products, catering primarily to the HORECA sector (hotels, restaurants, and catering). Established as one of the leading distributors in the province, its current suppliers include prominent wineries such as Valduero, José Pariente, and Gramona. These partnerships, combined with its extensive distribution network and customer-centric approach, have made it a reliable partner for cooperative wines.

Strategic Alliance

This partnership agreement will allow the Viver Cooperative to expand its presence in the provincial market, making its products more accessible to hospitality establishments and, consequently, to end consumers in the region interested in discovering new local wines. Fernando Marco, director of the Cooperativa de Viver, expressed his enthusiasm for this strategic partnership, stating that “it will allow us to bring our wines to a wider audience and continue our mission of promoting the quality and winemaking tradition of our region and the province as a whole. “We are confident that this partnership will strengthen our market position and allow us to continue offering products of the highest quality.” Through this collaboration, the Viver Cooperative reaffirms its commitment to excellence and the region at every stage of wine production.
