July 9, 2025.—The Viver Cooperative has won two gold medals at the 2025 Verema Varietal Wine Competition for its wines “Viento sobre la piel” and “Nube sobre la piel.”
The Viver Cooperative has reached a new milestone in its winemaking history after receiving gold medals for both its “Viento sobre la piel” and “Nube sobre la piel” wines at the 12th edition of the prestigious Verema VinoVarietal Competition, held last June in Valencia.
Nube sobre la piel was awarded a gold medal in the category of unaged white wines for its balanced flavor and exceptional quality, highlighting the elegance and freshness of this sophisticated Chardonnay. Meanwhile,
The Verema VinoVarietal Competition evaluates wines made with at least 80 % of a predominant grape variety, in accordance with PDO or PGI regulations, as is the case with the wines from the Viver Cooperative, which are covered by the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Castellón. A jury composed of winemakers, sommeliers, journalists, and sensory analysts conducts blind tastings, highlighting varietal purity and the authenticity of the terroir.
For the Viver Cooperative, these accolades reinforce its dedication to reviving the rich winemaking tradition of the Alto Palancia region and its commitment to high-quality wines.
