September 20, 2024.—Our most iconic red wine has won a silver medal and 90 points at the DWWA, the world’s largest and most influential wine competition.
At the 21st edition of the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA), held last summer in London, La Perdición, with its blend of Syrah, Tempranillo, Merlot, and Garnacha and aged for 12 months in oak barrels, won a silver medal and 90 points, making it one of the few wines from the Valencian Community to be recognized in this category.
A panel of 243 experts from around the world blind-tasted more than 18,000 wines from 57 countries in a rigorous evaluation process that resulted in 50 “Best in Show” wines and the awarding of 117 Platinum, 643 Gold, 5,977 Silver, and 8,016 Bronze. The massive turnout and the exhaustive selection process, conducted by top-tier judges, have established the DWWA as an international benchmark in the wine industry for both businesses and consumers.
Crafted from a careful selection of Syrah, Tempranillo, Merlot, and Garnacha, and aged for 12 months in refined French oak barrels, which lend it a unique depth and complexity, La Perdición is a great Mediterranean wine with an exquisite fruity flavor and an elegant bouquet of aromas brimming with notes of ripe fruit, soft tannins, and a long, seductive finish that come together to captivate your palate.
