The Odisea Roble red wine surprises with its perfect balance of soft tannins and refreshing acidity, as well as its silky texture and lingering finish. Aged for 6 months in oak barrels, it stands out for its complex, balsamic character, with notes of ripe fruit and subtle hints of spices and Mediterranean herbs.

Production
Viento sobre la piel is produced from vineyards planted on calcareous soils with a loamy-clay-sandy texture, which lend the wine a distinct minerality. The grapes are harvested by hand into small 10-kg crates, with the best clusters carefully selected in the field. About 20% of the grapes are placed in vats with the stems intact, while the rest are gently destemmed to keep the berries whole and undergo carbonic maceration, which enhances their aromas. Fermentation takes place over about 10 days in stainless steel tanks, with gentle pumping over to achieve balanced extraction. Before fermentation is complete, the wine is pressed and racked to finish fermenting without the skins. Malolactic fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages for approximately 6 months in French oak barrels, where it refines and gains complexity. Finally, after a stabilization and filtration process, it is bottled.
Tasting Notes for Odisea Roble Red Wine
Bright garnet red in color, it retains the violet hues of its youth along the rim. A clean, deep-colored wine with very attractive ruby highlights and abundant tears. The nose is very fruity, with a distinctly Mediterranean character. Blackberries, blueberries, and other ripe red fruits combine with menthol notes, giving it a very refreshing and balsamic character. The influence of the barrel is evident in spicy notes of rosemary and thyme, while its cultivation on Rodeno soils lends earthy and iron-like nuances. Fresh on the palate, with a fruity attack and good body, featuring pronounced yet powerful tannins that are very well integrated and subtle, never masking the fruit or the herbal notes. A meaty, structured wine with excellent balance, featuring an intense, fruity finish that gives it great length.
