THE 2017 VIENTO WINE
Production
The vineyard is located in Caudiel at an elevation of 670 m, with sandy-clay soil. The grapes are harvested by hand into 15-kg crates, destemmed, and placed in stainless steel tanks. Pre-fermentation maceration takes place at a low temperature, followed by fermentation at a constant temperature with light pumping over. Gentle extraction. Aged for 4 months in French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
Cherry red color with bluish hues, a vivid and intense color characteristic of the variety. Distinctive aromas typical of the variety, with subtle floral and red fruit notes—blackberries, red currants, and cassis. Light smoky and spicy hints. On the palate, it exhibits light, perfectly integrated acidity, freshness, and smoothness. An easy-drinking, approachable wine, it stands out for its balance of acidity and alcohol and its silky texture. It is a wine with a very interesting evolution. It opens up on the palate as it is exposed to oxygen and develops delicate nuances.
