Olive Tree

Main variety is called Serrana del Palancia and most crops use drip irrigation and not tillage. Production is quite irregular from one year to another, that is called vecería. Other varieties present are Picual, Arbequina and Villalonga.

Main pests and diseases are the olive fruit fly, which is being combated with mass trapping, and the repilo.

Harvest is done by hand, although it´s gradually being mechanized. Harvest starts in early October and continues until the beginning of December.

Almond Tree

Main variety is called Marcona and most crops use drip irrigation and not tillage. Production is sometimes affected by frosts in February and March. Other varieties present, which are included in the Comuna category, are Lauranne, Constantí, Marta and Vairo.

Main pests and diseases are aphid, red spider mite and fungal diseases.

Harvest is almost completely mechanized using a vibrator. Harvest stars in mid-August and lasts until the end of September.

Walnut Tree

Main varieties are called Chandler and Serr and most crops use drip irrigation and not tillage. Production is sometimes affected by frosts in March and hail during the summer time.

Main pests and diseases are carpocapsa, anthracnose and bacteriosis.

Harvest is done by hand. It starts at the end of September and ends in October.

Main products are summer artichoke ( Lorca type variety ), cherries ( Early lory, Primulat, Prime Giant…), Confit bean, potatoes ( sour ) and apples ( Esperiega ) and most crops use drip irrigation and not tillage.

Main pests and diseases are controlled by integrated production techniques.

Harvest is done entirely by hand. It starts in May collecting the Cherry and ends in December harvesting the confit bean.
